Eating in Bali is such an explosive mouth-watering cultural adventure…”

I love to explore local food scenes when I travel. I’m talking about having a mouth-watering cultural adventure down the unbeaten path. Flavorful tastes infused with earthiness, and rich spices that awakens the taste buds. Simply said, I constantly venture out on every of my travels to seek organic farm-to-table foods made with love.
To appreciate the wonders of local cuisines; usually means indulging beyond the touristy hot spots, and grubbing where the locals dine. Usually, the most authentic foods are found in the little “hole in the walls” or street-side vendors.
My diet consist of “eating everything in moderation’, although I tend to gravitate towards a plant based diet. I love to taste the “rainbow” – Greens, Yellows, Reds, Oranges, Blues – All Organic flavors.
I’ve had the pleasure of “eating my way around the world”, so many places, so many plates. But in my sincere honesty; Bali has the best cuisines, because of its unique history, and multicultural fusion offering a taste of different foods from across the Islands if not continent. Eating in Bali is such an explosive “mouth-watering cultural adventure” as I previously mentioned above. Endless picturesque cafes from Canggu to Ubud, Lombok to the Gili Islands. Blissful bowls, colorful healthy vegan cafes and local warungs with delicious traditional Indonesian food like the expansive Javanese cuisines or Sulawesi.
Market Life
There’s no better place to be immersed into the Balinese cultural Cuisine than at the local markets. The atmosphere is lively and colorful with loaded baskets of fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, nuts and spices. Fresh organic foods sourced from gardens in the fertile volcanic mountains within a day or two of being harvested.
Bali Breakfast Bowls
I’m a morning person, usually up by 5am. I wake up and then get into my morning devotion and mediation: I call it my “daily gratitude ceremony”. After my meditative healing session, I get into either yoga or a morning jog; depending on my schedule.
By the time 8 or 9 am comes around, I’m well into my day and now in need of a nourishing breakfast. These Bali breakfast bowls were a daily treat to myself each morning. My favorite bowls are shown below, usually from the local warungs and occasionally the insta-friendly cafes if I’m in the mood to mingle.
Last but not least, Bali has countless eating options; with such diverse organic foods, creative culinary skills, tastiness, and the value makes it a top global dining destination. Yes, there are hundreds of cuisines from across all continents but on my list, Bali ranks at the top of my clean culinary gastronomic palate.
